To be honest, the outside looks a bit bland. But once you're inside you'd appreciate it! And the self-service coffee shop overlooking the water is very nice. More

The museum contains a select display of very fine and rare pieces. Labelling is rather limited but in many instances the objects speak for themselves - you just have to use your eyes. More

This building by I.M. Pei is a work of art in itself. All the islamic art and the explanations of all the pieces made this museum a wonderful place to visit and learn in. More

The Museum of Islamic Art is truly a gem of a building: its architecture is nice from the outside, but it is the inside part that is splendid. The interplay of modern and Islamic art prove a success. The collection is very interesting and includes some rare manuscripts. I strongly recommend visiting this museum if in Doha. More

Visiting the city? Friends coming to visit you? This should be on top of the list. Impressive lay out of wonderful historic pieces. Nicely displayed, headsets available (free), entrance is free (except any temporary exhibitions). A wonderful experience...expect to stay there a few hours. Displayed on a few floors... (And of course you have to be dressed appropriately...re other comments... More
