The guide is a real character and the walk is a great way to jump into the issues of urban redevelopment in Beirut, as well as its rich history, architecture and politics. Ronnie is a gem - knowledgable and enthusiastic about the city he clearly loves, which you will too after the walk! If you know anything about Beirut, you... More

Ronnie brought Beirut to life for me, why did the tour have to end? Ronnie was not your usual guide dishing out historical facts about the city and the people who live there. He gave us information about elections and returning Lebanese migrants, about property and rents, the revolving occupation of the Holiday Inn and so much more. Maybe Ronnie... More

Every time a family member comes to visit, I bring then to the walking tour of Beirut. There is nothing like it, to have people have a glimpse at the complexity of Beirut in one afternoon is outstanding. Even if you are from Beirut, I would suggest you take it. You will find things about your city you had never... More

An absolute must-do! See Beirut under Ronnie's spotlight and you see it from a completely different angle. Peppered with entertaining anecdotes and interesting facts, the tour is much more than just sightseeing. More

Because after three trips to Lebanon we had seen most of the sights of the country, we were delighted to hear of Walk Beirut on our fourth trip. Now most of our Lebanese in-law family want to take the tour too. Though there are many opportunities to sit while Ronnie speaks, you should still wear comfortable shoes,be prepared for weather... Beneath the extravagant nightlife, the amazing food and the rich culture, Beirut is a city where every corner has it's little place in history. Starting from the Roman times, all throughout the Ottoman Rule, the French Mandate and the civil war. There is just so much that you can't fathom without the help of a capable guide. Ronnie does a... If you enjoy history, culture, and learning I would highly recommend this tour! Ronnie is an excellent tour guide, and the tour is a great value at $20/person. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring an umbrella if rain is a possibility! You will not be disappointed. More

Don't miss this. Schedule your trip around it if need be (I did). The reveiws are right: Walk Beirut with Ronnie is the best $20 and 3-4 hours you'll spend in Beirut - possibly in Lebanon. More
