So, before you go visit this awesome place, BYOAH--Bring Your Own Abaya (and Hijab). You are required to be covered, so be prepared and then enjoy. Guys, sorry...I'm not sure you would look THAT... What makes the visit to this mosque so wonderful is the staff. They are so welcoming, helpful and generous. Free guided tour is excellent, too. If you are not dressed properly, you are provided with the appropriate attire for free of charge.

Well setup with friendly guides and well organised tours. A great insight into Islam regardless of personal beliefs

This masjed has a special care and respect to the locals. It is the land of victory where the people of Bahrain united and gathered to say their word to the whole word and protect the land from any intervention.

Women be prepared to put on a full abaya and head scarf, they will let you use one of theirs and the ladies who help are very sweet. Men need to be in long pants or they will give you a thobe to wear. The tour guide gives you a lot of information about the building and about the Islamic... More

My parents came down to Bahrain to visit me and I took them to this mosque. It was the first time for me as well so I was excited to see the mosque as this is one of the most important places to visit in Bahrain. I was extremely pleased with the welcoming attitude of the staff at the mosque.... More

Very impressive building on the outside, quite plain inside. I'd drive by but not bother to stop-- we only spent a few minutes there and it wasn't worth the trouble in traffic to get there.

I liked the location, very close to tourist area and right opposite gulf hotel. The mosque is really big and will feel very nice praying.

I've visited state mosques all over the region, and Al-Fateh is worth a stop if your in Bahrain. Tastefully designed, its dome is especially satisfying. Unlike most state mosques in the region, they provide a an tour guide that provides the history of the mosque and explains some of the basics of Islam. Worth a visit.

We visited during the Eid Open-Weekend which enhanced the activities available and is thoroughly recommended for learning more about Islam. Staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and happy to assist. Women are asked to dress in abaya and hijab before entering the mosque (these are provided free of charge), which was an experience for us in itself. Inside we were then... More
