After taking some time outside of the church to study the map with the English translation of the place names go inside and take a look. The accuracy is amazing considering the age of the map. The church itself is very nice with many mosaic religious pictures on the walls, take a while to look around the church. More

Historically and artistically an impressive and significant mosaic but be prepared for it to be smaller than you might expect and for many parts of the mosaic to be faded or missing. Fortunately the entrance fee is miniscule. More

An incredible mosaic and quite awe inspiring to think of just how old it was. You get a really good view of it and are allowed to take photographs inside the church, which is nice. Very calm and peaceful. You are expected to wear appropriate clothing ( no skimpy tops etc) as it is a religious site. More
