This Roman Amphitheater is one of the better preserved we have visited. The steps to the top are a little daunting but the view is worth it. Evidently they still use it today.

this is really a "drive by sighting" but its worth the stop on the hill above to look down onto it

Beware after dark as the seedy side of Amman can be found here and it smells from the men using the area as a urinal

There are quite a few Ampitheatres in Jordon (Jerash, Petra etc.) but this one brings to life that this, in many ways, modern city has an ancient past. Theatre still used for plays today.
