Marvel at the engineering ability of the 4th century romans, but there's not much to see and it's not possible to reach the top. If you're in the area, take a look - otherwise, don't bother. More

It is within walking distance to Suleymaniye Mosque. We stopped by after visiting the mosque, then took a taxi to Galata Bridge. More

After taking your happy snaps of the aqueduct, walk down into the subway under the main road intersection. It's an underground bicycle shop with floor to ceiling racks of bicycles and kids taking batman themed bikes for test drives. Just wild! More

The walk to the Valens Aqueduct (completed 378 A.D.) is definitely worth your time, especially if you're a history buff. Only a portion of the original structure remains and a roadway now runs through the structure; however it’s still quite interesting to look at up close. There’s a small park in front of the structure and mosques located nearby. More

It is a landmark from the Roman Empire to Istanbul which had been maintained and used for more than 17 centuries. Worth to see, also the life going around the aqueduct and if you are brave enough to climb the stones of the structure. To the north-west side ( aqueduct should stay on your left hand-side when you face the... More

One should not visit the aqueduct in and of itself. However, if you go see the Prince's Mosque, which is well worth the detour, the aqueduct is right out the front door and would take but five minute to see. Frankly, there are better aqueducts to be seen in the world, but if you haven't seen one before, this is... More

Unless you are into small, crumbling Aqueducts after walking about 2Km up a steep hill from Istanbul center (tourist bit), I would recommend that you waste a few hours away in a cafe or bar. Of all the wonderful sights and experiences available in the splendid city this is not one of them! More
