The place is beautiful, especially during sunset & night time (when we visited), but that is written in all the other reviews below, so "nothing new under the sun".
Our more special impression from the visit was a conversation with an Imam, who has an office just near the entrance to the main praying area (there are signs inviting people...

This is the one that everyone should visit. The experience of removing your shoes, and making sure your head is covered is a novelty to westerners, but one should bow to their customs. So, in every picture taken, there were many other people in the background! Enjoy looking at the interior design and lights.
The Blue Mosque is amazing. The interior is magnificent with the detailed İznik blue tiles and beautifully decorated domes ceilings. This mosque is known as blue mosque ( original name is Sultanahmet Cami ) because of its interior blue tiles. The entire building it's high dome, long wires supporting the now day lighting which used to be candles retains it's originality....
