Old Town is beautiful and interesting . The sights of Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the colors and smells of the Grand Bazaar were incredible. Wish I was there!

Don't really know the difference. the oldest part of Istanbul is Sultanahmet which is stunning and the only place to be to see all the sites if you don't have a lot of time.

I just return from a cruise with a port of call to istanbul. I joined a private tour for the first day. It was great to have a knowlege guide for all the must see's. People are very friendly and "overly friendly" at the Grand Barrzad. This is one place I wouldn't want to return. The closed by Spice Market...
