The room in which the show was held was rather small and hence the seating was rather cramped and uncomfortable. It would have been nice if the philosophy and stages of the sema ceremony were explained prior to the show so that all spectators could be more involved in the performance. Also, the fact that the performers were obviously not... More

Too much emphasis on the religious aspect for me which I don't mind if I knew beforehand. 99% of those there were waiting for some more sort of entertainment More

By far the best traditional dance show I have seen on a vacation, ever. The dancers were great, very skilled and the live band accompanying the show were nothing short of fantastic. Such great energy and vibe is rare in this type of show. When we left we truly felt like we had seen all the dances of Turkey. Highly... More

This was a fun night of cultural dances and a good look at turkish culture and traditional attire. A must do while in Istanbul. The management was very good in making the arrangements for us ahead of time via email, and when we got there they had our tickets at willcall. More

I am always very hesitant when it comes to various shows and performances in touristic cities as I'm afraid they are just a tourist trap, so I was waiting until the last night of my stay in Istanbul to decide weather to visit the whirling dervishes performance in the Hodjapasha Culture Centre. When I finally decided I wanted to see... More

The walk to Hodja Pasha is great among bazars and Turkish delight shops.. The dancing is lovely, and the seating setup is great & inspiring... Although most music is Arabic not Turkish, and sometimes Indian,, you still get to feel the Turkish spirit... I had a problem when making online reservation from their formal website,, and had to go one... More
