As the other reviewer says, this is a real highlight of eastern Turkey. It was also undergoing restoration when I was there (June 09) - they were building a roof over it. Over-restoration is my opinion. One thing worth noting is that you cannot see Mt Ararat from Ishak Pasa, despite what some postcards make out. There is a cay...

This palace is a 3 YTL Dolmus ride above DOGUBAYAZIT in Turkey. It is a heavily restored (still at it) building in a beautiful place just above the town (about 5 or 6 km). It was apparently built by a local Kurdish leader. the town used to surround it but was moved down the hill about 50 or 60 years...
