One of the reason we passed by Dogubeyazit is to see the Ishak Pasha Palace. On our second morning we went to the town's bus terminal (where we arrived the day before) and came looking for the public minibus. As the other reviewer says, this is a real highlight of eastern Turkey. It was also undergoing restoration when I was there (June 09) - they were building a roof over it. This palace is a 3 YTL Dolmus ride above DOGUBAYAZIT in Turkey. It is a heavily restored (still at it) building in a beautiful place just above the town (about 5 or 6 km).
