Although we live in Ulaanbaatar I never tire of visiting Terelj National Park. In all seasons it is beautiful with fantastic features and sites to see. If you can it is well worth taking a horse ride through the park.

Wonderful scenery, but there's tons of tourist camps that stretch as far as the eye can see. I thought it was a bit of a shame to have so many buildings and obvious tourist structures in such a lovely place.

I choose Selena Tour company, based in Ulaanbaatar, for my custom 3 day tour. They were great, you get your money's worth with them, highly recommended. I did a National Parks tour, and my driver and guide were very flexible with my wishes. They are the real deal.

worth a day trip. no reason to spend the night. Ger living is overrated. the turtle rock is just that, but kind of cool. pretty views. don't use gobi tours, they'll change the prices on you along the way. the golf course in the park is a sight to behold, lol. good animal sightings.

A great place to visit, but the roads are in desperate need of repair. If you find yourself with a spare day or two in UB, the park is worth a visit, but be sure to carry a spare tyre. Or 4.

If you're not staying longer in Mongolia, then at least do an overnight trip to this place. There's not much there, but you can take a nice walk, stay in a ger, try yak's milk and go horseback riding. I think one night is enough though.

very nice national park. Only 1 hour from Ulaanbaatar and many excellent ger camps to choose from for all budgets! Riding horses at sunset is a must.

A two hour drive to Terelj National Park is never a waste of time, with short trip to the magnanimous status of Chinggis Khan on your way.... wonderful rock formations all over makes the park unique... a visit to a Buddhist Temple within the park is an added value to your trip... it's fun....

very scenic, but felt a bit like a theme park to extract money from tourists
