I had a few days with Stone Horse trekking with Keith and Sabine in 2010. It was amazing and the highlight of my month in Mongolia! The horses are fantastic and the treks we went on were changelling and fun with beautiful scenery and insightful information from the guides! I would definitely go again and recommended to anyone. I was only able to stay in Mongolia for about one week, so my plan was to get a genuine view on the contemporary Mongolian culture and the kind of life the average Mongolian lives, as well as possible... Of course one week is much too little to really get to know this but I did get a great glimpse... More

We met Keith in UB and he introduced us to Yadamaa and Daava whom we stayed with in the countryside. The experience deepened our knowledge of Mongolia, the stark contrast to the rapid development in UB. We enjoyed the drive out with David too. The owners of this tour group are very aware of sustainable tourism in Mongolia's backcountry. We called them interested in a one night ger stay. They were able to accomodate us that night. Perhaps this was because it was in the off-season, but I was impressed that they were able to set us up with such short notice. The car... More

Glad you liked the experience of "real" herder life here in Mongolia. Their food might be bland, but it's wholesome. Helping the local herders with their ger (yurt) stay is an important part of our business and local herder community conservation initiative. Look forward to having you back. More
