Great views from the top of the hill on a clear day. A little garage and graffiti around, but the monument itself is a pretty impressive piece of socialist art. More

Must visit this monument when in UB. The monument is a mosaic left behind by the Russians. It is a marvelous work of art, depicting Soviet/Mongolian scenes of friendship. It is sad it's too vandalized :-( More

After climbing a ton of stairs you get to the top with a nice view of the city. I did it in -20 degree weather, so it was very cold and the pollution made it difficult to get a really good view of the city. I would recommend you visit in the summer. More

It was nice to climb the high rising steps of Zaisan memorial and to watch the UB city from above. There should be some sort of security for people visiting there. Also the place needs better landscaping. Huge bill board near the memorial looks like an eyesore.Overall nice view. More

It's only and excellent place to see whole city. In summer time, mostly so crowded with people but not much light in there. A must see in UB if interested in the Soviet era history of UB. The monument is in the newly developed area of UB where all the nice highrises and apartments are. You will need to climb a lot of stairs to get to the top part of the monument, but you can see it great from the parking lot... More
