It better now you can drive your car around no more long walk in the sun. Lots to see much better now then before. look out for the monkeys they are fast and if you get to close to the cage they will take your phone camera or any thing they can get. You can get right up and close... More

There's some great work going on here looking after all these rescued animals but we left with very mixed feelings about our visit. Firstly, we wished we had come on a tour with a guide (we came by tuk tuk). Most of the cages don't even have a lable to tell you what's inside never mind any information about the... More

This was one of the highlights of my recent trip to Phnom Penh. This park is a labour of love: the people running this sanctuary have put so much time into the park and the animals. We were just enchanted by the Lemurs, Gibbons, Parrots and other animals. Worth the long drive to get there. More

With a large space for the animals and caring management the Tamao zoo is not a typical 3rd world zoo park. Its so big you have to drive around it. The park have many rescued animals to include en a baby elephant which has a prosthetic leg the animal was the victim of a trap but has been looked after... More

Phnom Tamao was the highlight of our time in PP. It was great to see animals in a comfortable habitat who have been rescued for a better life. Lucky the elephant is beautiful and all the animals and staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend going with Betelnut Jeep Tours as they are very knowledgable about the zoo and have... More

I had low hopes of this type of place in Cambodia but the animals are well cared for with plenty of room. There are a few monkeys in small cages but most of these seemed to have been cleared when i was there and there seemed to be work going on to improve the enclosures. The big animals have decent... This Sanctuary is doing incredible work under very difficult circumstances. The wildlife are confiscated, injured or have been rescued in some way. You can tell that the animals are well cared for. This is not something you expect in a zoological garden in Cambodia. We went with Betelnut Tours who were excellent. Our guide knew all about the animals and... More
