We had loads of fun on this tour, biking was a nice change from walking and you covered a fair bit of ground while getting a bit of history. We chose the Red River tour from 8.30am-12.30pm which took us by a beautiful cemetery, along wide calm back streets and farmland, across the river, and yes into a little traffic... More

I thoroughly enjoyed this cycling adventure and concur with other reviewers that this was an opportunity to see the side of Hanoi not seen by most tourists with a capable and interesting guide. From seeing a closeup of a cemetery to crossing the Long Bien Bridge, to having a cup of tea with the locals to seeing farming closeup it... More

We are fans of city cycle tours...they usually show a different side of the city. We weren't disappointed with Urban Discovery. Despite being a little apprehensive about tackling the crazy city traffic, we were advised to simply be 'a rolling stone in a stream', so strapping on our helmets we threw ourselves into the abyss. It was a tremendous morning.... More

A good way to get around and see the real Hanoi. You cover a lot of ground (about 20km) and you become part of the crazy traffic (which just seems to work!). My bike broke down and the guide had it fixed by one of the mechanics you see on the foot path, so we got the full experience. A... More

A very well organized bicycle tour in and around Hanoi, for me there was nothing too spectacular about the scenery or surrounding areas that the tour navigates except for a nice pagoda attached to an orphanage, but what makes this tour very good is the fact that it takes in the parts of Hanoi that the tourists don't venture into.... Many people solemnly know Hanoi from the Old Quarter, a great maze of streets in the oldest part of town. But Hanoi has so much more to offer and this cycling tour shows you it all!!! The guides are excellent and they really know all the small alleyways so you don’t need to worry about crossing some of the major... More

This is a great way to know the REAL URBAN HANOI. Bicycle is the way to go. Fast enough to see more and slow enough to enjoy every corner. I enjoyed seeing were the Hanoians live and work, the markets, the narrow passages and sharing the street with motorbikes in old quarters . I highly recommend it.

It's great to be a part of the crazy traffic of Hanoi, especially with 2 local guides looking after you. My guides, Ha and Tu, were very patient with me and answered the list of questions I have. They were young college students, and their energy was infectious, which you would definitely need under the Hanoi heat. I would definitely... More

Highly recommended! When lived in Hanoi for three years, I recommended this trip to pretty much every friends and family members who visited me. And they all loved it. Literally all of them young and old, men and women. Hanoi traffic seems terrible from outside, but with trained guide and well selected route, you may find that bicycle is the... More

We were some of the first customers making the bicycle tour with Urban Discovery. Even though we lived in Hanoi a year or so, the trip took us to places on the 'back side' of the city that we have never seen before. Cycling of the beaten track and big roads is not too dangerous in Hanoi, if you know... More
