There's nothing much to do here. Perhaps just a photo or two. It was a waste of time coming here. I guess it can be even seen on the BTS.
This is a great place! I wonder why no one ever mention nor recommend this place to shop!If not for the fact that I stayed at their nearby hotel, I wouldn’t even discover this place! This place is not too far from tourist destinations such as platinum mall or pratunam and yet this place has what those places have! There’s... More
Nice to see the local shopping scene -- not your usual tourist site. Pretty clean and decent. Lots of local fare at local prices. There's a pretty big Watson's store for your basic needs (cosmetics, shampoo, etc).
I wonder whether you want to make a trip just to see this attraction. For the last few months it has had beautiful floral displays around it. However the gates are always shut and it has a high fence around it so you cannot get up close. However it is highly photogenic. The best shots can be taken from the... More
It is quite a cute and funny looking monument. However, not worth your time to purposely go there if you are staying far from it. You may align at Victory Monument station if you are to go there.
The monument is situated in the middle of the busy roundabout which makes it hard to get up close. It's easily accessible via BTS and you can get a good picture from the connecting bridge. There's nothing much to see but if you're a shopping junkie like me, I really enjoyed the nearby shopping area. The prices there are much... More
We came here to catch a minivan to kanchanaburi. There are a lot of people in the evening and some shopping malls around. River park food court is a "must avoid at all costs" place. We had terrible food there.
The monument itself is big but it's also fake. It was erected to commemorate the Thai victory in the Franco-Thai War, which resulted in Thailand annexing some territories in Indo-China. But the fighting had been brief and inconclusive, and the final territorial settlement was imposed on both parties by Japan. Nevertheless the Thai regime decided to celebrate the war as... More
Nice but you can see it on the way to the weekend market etc from the sky train. Good to look at when lit at night.
The monument is nice, but it's just a monument surrounded by hundreds of cars in a permanent traffic jam. You should go there if you need to take a minivan, there are for every single place (but difficult to find because most names are written in Thai script, keep patient and ask young university students because most speak a good...
