Wat Ratchabopit is one of the royal monasteries in Bangkok. It is not a tourist attraction. However, the temple is also a beautiful place to visit. There are many interesting items to be seen in this temple. it is also a place where the crematory ashes of members of the royal family are housed.

I accidentally stumbled across this place when I took a premature left turn along Rachini instead of Sanam Chai to go to Wat Pho. It was a pleasant discovery. A quiet place that I could walk around with NO ONE around, view some lovely architecture and take some pictures. It was built in 1863 by King Rama V. Wat Ratchabopit...
