A significant site to the Taiwanese as within the park is a memorial and museum dedicated to the victims of the 228 Incident of 1947. A poignant place but is a welcome relief from the bustle and noise of the surrounding streets.

I visited 2-28 Peace Park during the spring of 2010, so all of the plants were in bloom. It was very pretty. I enjoyed simply walking through the park for a little while. The Taiwan Museum is right next to it, so I'd suggest stopping there to take a look around, too (especially if it's a hot day).
