Uganda has a treasure trove of culture hidden in its history. It was exciting to experience the history of Uganda, especially the different waring kingdoms and the advent of Christianity in Uganda. I enjoyed visiting the different huts that were on display in the Museum compound. More

Worth a (short) visit - in fact have been several times. Its future precarious as govt want to knock it down for unnecessary 30 storey commercial building. Uganda has little built heritage - this must be protected. Does need a facelift - the presentation is very much a product of it day; that being the 1950's of the British Protectorate. More

Like most museums it changes so for some it may not be the same...I found it lacking and just thrown together. Being the only real museum here I was hoping for more but hey some culture and knowledge is better than none! More

Uganda does a uniquely terrible job of any vague fragment of cultural preservation in this sad, poorly lit dump of a museum. Displays are dusty, light bulbs are dead, nothing is organized (note the Model T randomly placed in the middle of the museum??). Partially depressing and partly aggravating that no credence is paid to history in this country, least... More

Uganda museum is fine but nothing much a part from a few collection of history about Uganda as a country right from colonial rule of the British in 1890 to 1962 when Uganda got Independence. More

Well we didn't expect much which was good. It's pretty run down and exhibits seem kind of random. I realize they probably don't get much funding, but a little bit of creativity would help too. Power point presentation printed out on A4 really isn't what you expect from a "national" museum. It's a shame, I can think of lots of... More

This was like returning to one of those museums you visited as a child. It's a bit run down and some of the exhibits are fading but it's an eclectic mix but very interesting. In the grounds at the back they have several examples of traditional bandas (housing). It costs next to nothing to get in but go now as... More

An oldstyle museum with exhibits and displays which haven't been updated for some time. Needs to do more to attract young visitors. More
