It is worth paying a little money to local guides camped out in the Villa ruins as they are very knowledgeable. Ben Ali's brother-in-laws former home is on the edge of the Villas. it too is a ruin. A bit of history in the telling.

We went late in the day so didn't have much time, but it was beautiful. There's a lot of mosaics hidden away and it was fun to wander all around the site, imagining how it looked hundreds of years ago. Make sure you leave enough time!
