Excellent trip organised through Kudu Safaris, and although very expensive is worth doing. Excellent lunch provided at a local hotel as part of the trip. Ruins very interesting and enjoyed travelling through the countryside to get there.

The visit was pleasant, took 2 hours drive from the hotel i stayed(Serena Dar es Salam) due to heavy traffic. I particularly enjoyed seeing the ruins and old buildings. The beach was nice too. You could stop by at Bagamoyo Art Market for souvenirs. One thing i observed the locals are very friendly and warm which made me feel welcomed....

Very impressive historical buildings dating back to the times of this area being a German colony. Friendly atmosphere, splendid beach

The City is a bit run-down, probably due to the declining interest in its Port and touristic places. But it is great to hear its history: the first visits of arab and non arabs from the East, the Portuguese, the church that Livingstone visited, the narrow old streets, the local, typical resturants.
