Yesterday, I had a private day tour of Arusha National Park with Bamba Tours. Despite the heavy early morning rains, the day slowly cleared to bright sky. Both Mount Meru and Mount Kili were “shy” most of the day, but Meru showed her contours in the afternoon and Kili showed the mountain top for a few minutes on the drive... More

We did a safari with Real Adventure Safaris based on input from Trip Advisor members. We checked out a few and chose them for several reasons: More reasonable price for the same itinerary and similar accommodations Always responded promptly and with all questions answered Attention to detail, everything written out specifically Listened to what we wanted and did not just... Where do I start, we were Australians living and working in Sudan, and decided that it was time we left as things in the country were going pearshaped. That was early February. It's now the end of April and we're glad we're no longer there. One of the things we promised ourselves to do while we were in Africa was... More

We knew that Arusha National Park was not going to boast the numbers of wildlife compared to other parks in the northern circuit, however the unique habitats and scenery completely made up for that. We were astounded by the lush forests (home to many leopards and baboons/ monkeys), the views looking into Ngundoto Crater, the system of lakes with their... More

My friends and had spent some time in Zanzibar before spontaneously deciding to do a safari. So from a travel agent in Stone Town we booked a 3 day safari in Tanzania. Without time to do much research we more or less just had to trust the advice of the travel agent and their recommendation of Bramwel Safaris to conduct... More

Arriving in Arusha after a long bus journey we were whisked off to a comfortable hotel to recuperate before starting our adventure. We then spent 3 days on Safari in 3 different national parks including Ngorongoro with our personal driver/guide and delicious food and camping all provided for. We didn’t have to lift a finger except to point at the... More

Well we flew directly to Zanzibar with Ethiopian airways and were so lucky to meet the director of Deluxe Zanzibar Safaris on the way as he was coming from ITB in Berlin. When l first talked to him he never introduced himself as a person who owned a safari company or was doing any safari business. As 4 young European... More

In this park you can drive, hike of canoe on the lakes. There are many animals to watch and you can hike with a armed ranger and wander among big game. We had a super guide who lives in Aruha town. He has a very good eye for animals and knows all the birds by English name. And he is... More

We visited and and stayed in Arusha National Park at the end of two weeks touring. We sadly did not allow enough time to enjoy this park and its stunning views, wildlife, flora, lakes etc. Mt. Kilimanjaro looms 50 km away; Mt. Meru is much closer, beautiful and accessible. We climbed Kili about 2 years ago and may return to... More

Arusha National Park was much better than I expected. As the main entryway prior to hiking Meru, it is a great place. Getting to Arush is just as fun. We took a bus, which was loaded with vendors and locals. Once we got to within park boundaries, we were all surprised as to how untouched it was. I guess most... More
