Next to the Iowa State campus, definitely worth a visit if you are in Ames in good weather. A bit pricey for wghat it offers. More

I took a Parisian jet-setter here several years ago and he still talks about the beautiful butterflies and the walk in the gardens on a heart-breakingly beautiful day. I like to go in the winter, but any time is wonderful to visit the gorgeous butterflies. More

When it's nice out, a walk around the gardens is second to none. If not, check out the butterfly room and the conservation area, both are gorgeous and you'll probably learn something new! More

Very relaxing to walk the trail through all of the flowers, both outside and inside. Shop at the little gift shop, and sit on the bench for awhile in the butterfly room. More

We took our kids to see the gardens and the butterflies and they were thrilled see them landing in their hair and on their arms. Nice afternoon experience. More
