Great beach with good views! Have the beach all to yourself, rented a Hummer from 808Hummer.com and got to tour all of Lanai and this beautiful beach. More

Second time we have made the long drive here. The road has improved compared to 2 years ago, however it is still very rough. once here though you are on a very isolated stretch of sand. We love this place. When we came the channel was moving so fast that the ocean looked almost like a river. Out in the... More

The road to Polihua Beach is long and rough (you need a Jeep)...but so worth the trip ! We had the beach all to ourselves. The beach is not great for swimming (strong currents), but my husband and I enjoyed a nice walk, nap and whale watching. My only complaint is that we only had a few hours to spend... More

This beach is only accessible by 4WD. The sand is made of crushed shells, and is not soft but the beach is huge. Worth going to lay in the sun and watch the waves crash onto the shore. Looked a little rough to swim, but excellent views of the island of Molokai. More

My wife and I with another couple traveled to Lanai for a day trip renting a jeep to travel the island. This was an amazing beach and our crew was the only ones there for the two to three hours we were on the beach. The drive there was beautiful to get there as well. This is a must see! More

It's amazing that a beach this big and beautiful doesnt have anyone on it. I've been to Polihua a few times over the years and it never has anyone on it. For one thing it's remote the other is that the water is very dangerous. It gets deep fast and it will suck you out to sea quick if you... More

You get to this beach by jeep, driving down the road past Garden of the Gods. The guides say this is a 2 mile long beach, but we walked the entire beach and it is more than one mile and less than 2 miles. At the far right end (as you look toward the ocean) you will see a shipwreck... More

You need to rent a jeep to access the road leading down the mountain to the beach. The road is red dirt and you will get a free red dirt shirt, whether you want one or not, if you leave the top down on your jeep. The trail takes about 30 to 40 minutes and winds through the Garden of... More
