We visited the relief map in guatemala city and really liked it. It is one of a kind thing that features the country's topography and landscape with all mountains and city. It was built in 1905 and really worth a visit if you happen to be in Guatemala.

I have traveled to many parts of the world but have not seen anything that resembles this place - very unique 3-D-copy of the whole country, with two different scales horizontally and vertically, which only help to appreciate it better. Too bad the local tourist authorities don't promote it enough (which is a general problem with all the beautiful places... More

A interesting perspective to see all of Guatemala's landscape. Give you a great idea of what to expect in the different destinations you may visit.

This is really a great morning walk from Main Plaza, over the Siixth Avenue ( the street goes straight from there, lots of trees and walking safe sidewalks.) At the end of the Sixth avenue, you will pays very little, for a great attraction: Guatemala in a scale model that was made over a hundred years ago, it makes you... More

While the data collection for making the map and the 3-D map itself are interesting, it is not worth your time to visit.

Once you understand that the horizontal scale is different from the vertical you can enjoy this little gem in the northern part of the capital even more. Over 100 years old it still worth a trip even if you stay only a few days.

The Relief Map is a huge outdoor three-dimensional map of Guatemala and is the best way to grasp the amazing topography of this small and highly geographically diversified country. One climbs up on a tower to see the entire country from a bird's eye view. The many volcanic mountains, the deep rivers, the broad Motaugua valley leading to the low... More

As strange as it sounds, this was a huge relief map of the country. Best viewing is from above, at the viewing platforms. We were set to drive around the country in a private car for a month, so it gave us a great perspective of what we were in for.

This is in a park, with basball diamonds on the edge of Zone 2.There are two towers and you can see a map of the entire country about 200 feet bt 100 feet.It is nice, but, again, only go in groups and only in the daytime.

If you like maps, this is terrific. With about an acre of ground covered, Guatemala's land is clearly shown, particularly with exaggerated altitudes showing the remarkable mountainous areas of the country. The Petan is an enormous flat area in the north against the Mexican border, and stands remarkably difference from the southern and west mountain areas of the country. The... More
