This well-maintained paved trail is pet-friendly and follows the Roaring Fork River through the town of Aspen and beyond. A must-visit area if visiting the lovely town of Aspen. More

It is a great trail for x-country skiing, walking, riding or even walking the dog. At certain places you can get off at the Music Tent or the Meadows and have lunch...or continue on to the Woody Creek Tavern. More

Beautiful easy walk. The trail goes along the river and you can see many beautiful Aspen homes from the trail. My husband enjoyed looking for fish in the river. More

Fantastic trail for biking. We always take the trail on our rides to rudi reservoir . It goes all the way past basalt and you are not exposed to the massive hill climbs that will tax your abilities. It's a good trail for a warm up when you first arrive at altitude More

The trail is fantastic. Love it for biking or skiing when enough snow. Many sections are on the river and so lovely. Not crowded. More

This friendly bike path runs 42 miles from Aspen to Glenwood Springs, with mileage markers found at half-mile intervals. Stop for lunch at a local’s favorite, The Woody Creek Tavern. *NOTE: Dogs are not allowed on the trail between the Catherine Bridge trailhead and Rock Bottom Ranch on Hooks Spur Road. More

We took a shuttle from Canyon Bikes in Glenwood Springs to a point between Aspen and Carbondale, then rode on the Rio Grande Trail 21.5 miles back to Glenwood Springs. Canyon Bikes rents nice Trek bikes complete with bike bag, lock and helmet at a reasonable day rate. The grade on the trail is not steep, but requires little actual... More
