Sombrero Ranch in Allenspark was not our first choice. Admittedly, we had chosen another ranch where we had had a previously great experience. Sadly, that ranch was closed for the year for repairs. I rode the Estes Park location in April, wanted to try the Allenspark stables for comparison. From my first contact with them I knew we were in for a treat. We chose Sombrero based on reviews, and chose this location as we were hopeful that it would be quieter and more accommodating to our family with young children (5 and 7).
