Our family LOVES the ocean & all it's critters, however this place bored us to tears!!! The shoreline was NOTHING & the visitor's center was pretty sad. We were disappointed.

We walked around Crab Cove's visitors center, the kids loved the microscopes! Then we searched the low tides for crabs, it was a great day.

A beautiful spot to picnic. The visitors center is fun for kids. The winds off the bay will chill one to the bone all year long. Put on a warm coat and enjoy the views.

Delightful beach front, picnic friendly grounds with easy access to walking trail overlooking San Francisco Bay and great views of the city.

A nice little aquarium and the staff is very helpful about answerin all our question. A cute little gift shop is also there.

Crab Cove has multiple charms and some drawbacks. The Visitor Center is run by East Bay Regional Parks & has lots of information on the San Francisco Bay ecosystem - there are even acquaria so you can see some water critters up close. Docents lead nature walks along the little beach, and there's also a small freshwater pond. There's a... More

We went here on a holiday and unfortunately the visitor center was closed. Apparently we must have come at high tide, because the ramp and walkway were under water and there wasn't a single pool or ocean animal in sight. I felt really stupid, we had researched it but didn't find anywhere on the park website specified that you had... More

I took my three-year old daughter there, we were part of a large group. The setting is very pretty with nice trees and a large green field right next to the water. The naturalist program was not that exciting, but when it was low tide, the kids had so much fun on the mudflats that we couldn't peel them away.... More
