“Reasonably priced base camp for snowmobiling”

We stayed at a self catering, 2 br, 2 bath cabin on Slide Lake as our base for our snowmobiling trip.... Pros: Most convenient (closest) trailhead to Jackson (only 12 miles from the airport), more reasonably priced than other lodges in the Gros Ventre and Togwotee trail system, big game and other wildlife along the nearby trails, beautiful scenery right... This slide took place so long ago that the forest has reclaimed the piles of rubble, so it isn't all that dramatic to look at. We weren't even sure we had arrived at the slide until we saw a big sign with information about it. Even then we had to really look to see anything. You can hike down a... More
