I like the statue of the sailor just standing there, as well as the map of the world in the middle. This was unexpected to stumble on but really cool to see! More

The navy memorial is well done. Expect to chill for 20m from all the museums. Kids find it fun to try and touch the fountains and parents can enjoy the beautiful copper sculptures telling the navy story And then... After 20m... Move on. .... More

The memorial itself is a feat of artwork - the bas relief sculptures around the base of the fountains are incredible. Leave yourself lots of time to really explore each and every one. The Navy Memorial consists of a large, open plaza inlaid with an unlabeled map of the world, designed to remind visitors how much of the earth's surface is ocean. went there because of the navy log I was able to learn more on how to enter my mom and dad into the navy log data base they do have a few exhibits to look at More

The United States Navy Memorial is easy to find because it's right across the street from the back of the National Archives Building. There is also a subway stop at the Memorial.
