Very cool to finally get to visit this memorial. One nice thing about it is that since it's outside the gates of Arlington National Cemetery, you can still visit this memorial even when the Cemetery is closed.

We visited this memorial during a night tour of Washington. This was one of my favorite Memorials in town. It is just beautiful.

My Daddy was a marine and I had seen photos of this memorial all my life. It was so cool to see it in person.

Moving historical moment captured in huge, impressive sculpture. A great place for photo ops. Take a stroll heading south towards the Netherlands Carillon -- if your timing is right, you can enjoy the sound of bells playing patriotic tunes -- and enjoy one of the very best views of DC from a lovely hill spot (great for a picnic, too!).

I have seen pictures and finally got to see it up close. It is a fair way away from the metro at the cemetary but is well worth the walk. It is also pleasant walking through the cemetary up to the Kennedys.
