The Jefferson Memorial provides a view that is second to none. I love to stand and look at the water. A beautiful monument dedicated to a even greater man. Take the time to visit and you will agree. More

Be sure to go to the lower level where exhibits are located. There were many interesting facts about Jefferson's life and his involvement with starting UVA. More

This was our starting point. We got off the hoon/ off bus here and walked all the monuments through to Constitution Avenue. Well worth the visit More

This is my favorite Memorial in DC. It's on the basin, so it's a very pretty location. It's basically like Lincoln's, but round, and Jefferson is standing. You can see in different directions from the interior of the building. It's also much more serene than Lincoln. A peaceful place to reflect on the founding fathers. More
