We decided to play here after reading all of the positive reviews. I am a 12 handicap and my buddy is a 4. We have both played all over the US for over 30 years and cannot understand the great reviews this place gets. I play golf for the sport, not a scenic tour. This place does have beautiful views... This simply a great golf course. First of all. the scenery is drop dead awesome. If you love the typical southwest topography of mesas, buttes, and arroyos this will be heaven. It sure was for me. Make no mistake though, Black Mesa is not an easy course. With four men's teeing positions the least challenging option has a slope of... More

I can't say enough good things about this beautiful golf course, the friendly staff and the surprisingly good cafe. The course is challenging for sure but as a very mid level golfer I wasn't overwhelmed except by the beauty. I should mention that playing in May the undulating greens were kind of fuzzy but we heard from a member that... More

Wow! That sums up Black Mesa Golf Club in ONE word. My husband and I play here all the time. It is by far our FAVORITE course. Beautiful views, cool temperatures, great food at the clubhouse, and the BEST golf in New Mexico. If you have your clubs and you're in New Mexico.........you are a FOOL to not play here! More

Absolutely hands down New Mexico's Finest Golf Course with beautiful vistas. This course is a bit out of the way but is well worth the ride. Course has received many awards from the golf world(Golf Digest, Golf Magazine, Golf Week, etc.) A well manicured facility, great staff and clubhouse. Course offers a great test of golf from every tee, lots... More

Black Mesa is one of my favorite golf courses in northern New Mexico. You feel as if you are playing in the dunes of another country or planet, for that matter. The price is reasonable. Tee times are plentiful. I would recommend playing in the early morning. I don't know if they have rental sets so bring your own clubs.... More
