The Mesa Top Loop Road was my favorite part of Mesa Verde. Definitely pick up a trail guide so you have more information about the ruins you will be seeing. A 50 cent donation gets a guide book, to the six mile loop drive complete with drawings, explanations and interesting facts. There is plenty of parking, and stops are well signed.
