Took my 9-year-old kid onto e crater. It's a one-stop-shop for all things volcano. You can drive up to the crater. The hike to e top is no more than 20 minutes. The view from the top is great. Standing there you can only imagine the violence of explosion that created the thing. More

Right next to Mono Lake lies a small trail to Panum Crater.
