Kia ora Picton . Hi Mike T at the museum .I was born in Picton but have lived in Australia since 1975. I visited the museum in 1995 and was really proud to see photos of my grandparents displayed . The carved black seat [throne chair] is spectacular. Thanks alot . Ka kite Ngaire Ruth Matene { Martin] More

Went to the museum as the weather was really bad one day and the activities outdoor were not possible. The museum if 5 dollars entry. And not at all interesting, plenty of old pictures and portrait of the famillies of Picton. and some old furnitures, and papers, and old balein stuff, pictures of the rugby local team... Not worth it More

Cool history of the area. I am a Kiwi and thought it was ok. We had time to kill before the ferry. Overseas visitors might think it quaint :o) Some great maori pieces on display. More

This is a well-maintained and comprehensive museum. The staff-member on duty was most welcoming and well-informed. As it was pouring rain, we spent over an hour inside learning about Picton. More

The Worst museum and also the most expensive museum we have ever been to, it resembled a garage sale. The staff were also very rude. More

Having spent holidays in Picton with my grandparents from 1946 until about 1958, I was able to see photographs of my great great grandparents who were early settlers here. Peter is a great historian and knew almost everyone I had known there as a child. Thank you for your time. Your museum just gets better and better. More

Not enough information about all the people in the photographs e.g. the kind of lives they had led. More

A funny little museum a bit of a mishmash of things. I was not impressed and also i had to pay which added insult to injury. More
