These falls are best to see when the weather is cold, dull, hot or wet because you will get sprayed inside the falls whilst enoying the amazing views at different levels inside the mountain. These falls are from melting glacier ice from the Jungfrau mountains above and when you get to the entrance(it cost us 8 swiss francs each)you are taken in a... On a hot, sunny afternoon, this was the perfect chilly spot to stop off and cool down at midway through our hike. Beautiful, impressive waterfalls that you view from inside the mountain. If you take the full hike, you'll see many more waterfalls along the road. Beautiful area. Bring a picnic and enjoy the scenery in this beautiful area. More

Unlike most, if not all, of the other falls in the Lauterbrunnen valley these falls cannot be seen from the road. They take all the drainage from the coalesced north slopes of the Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger, which together yield a huge volume of melt and rainwater, heavily laden with rock debris. The resultant scouring action of the falls has... More

Encased in stone the unimaginable quantities of water flowing from the heights of the Lauterbrunnen valley are breathtaking. More

The tourism office told us of this little gem which had opened up just the week we were there. (early April) Busloads of people come here to see the falls, so you will most likely have to wait for the lift and a shuffle of people to see turnouts / cutouts to view the inner falls. Despite the people, the... More

We walked from one end of the valley to the other and stopped here halfway It was a beautifully sunny and warm day, but as we approached the cave entrance the cold misty air hit us hard. Such an intense contrast. It got colder and colder as we went up the lift. It was amazing! Be warned: The crowds and... More

Easy trip from Interlaken. We rode the train then a bus (you can buy both tickets at the train station or the bus ticket on the bus when you're in Lauterbrunnen ). You take a lift up then walk up quite a few more stairs. You're actually inside the mountain to view 10 falls. Really neat! More

Everything in Switzerland is normaly pretty expensive so we were nicely surpriced that the entry to see those amazing Waterfalls was only 12 CHF. It is definitely worth, we spent almost 2 hrs there and my litlle nephew enjoyed that as well. Amazing natural phenomenon. More

We liked the food here and of course the experience of the Falls - we stayed nearly half a day, getting sprayed from the falls that literally are inside the mountain. Beautiful setting and we can recommend walking to the falls as such a beautiful walk along the valley floor. More

Trummelbach falls is unlike any of the waterfalls that I have seen before...and I live in Hawaii!!! The water is a chalky turquoise color that is just magnificent and cuts through the mountain at a rate of 20,000 Liters per second. Now that's POWER!! It is accessible by a tunnel lift and the tunnels throughout the waterfalls are illuminated. It... More
