After visiting this museum, one realizes what the nazis did to jewish life in the baltics was completed by the soviets. Today, only a small jewish community survives in Riga. There's a Chabad house who runs the school. Unbelievable job.

If you have a lack of knowledge about this area during the war like I have this museum fills in the gaps for the Jews. Well worth the time.

A pretty small museum mainly containing photos explaining the history of the Jewish people in Latvia. Not much text in English only a about a sentence per photo. The most interesting section is about the second world war – the numbers, the photos, the documents everything is extremely disturbing.
Kids probably wont ind the museum interesting.
The entrance is free,...
