Toomkirik is one of the oldest (if not the oldest) churches in Tallinn, situated high on Toompea. The entrance to the church goes down, not up as it used to hundreds of years ago, because the level of ground surrounding it has risen since then. Located at the centre top of Toompea Hill this church is more or less the gathering point of the old nobles of the hill. A nice sight, but even a more interesting area around.

This church is close to the Alexander Nevsky cathedral, but is often overlooked. It is a lovely church, which contains numerous coats of arms which are on the walls as memorials to people. It gives the church some interest. The church is otherwise very plain, but feels calm and relaxing to wander round. It is a lovely building.
