I booked the tour after reading the reviews here. As others have said the tour does need to be booked in advance through the hotel website which was easy to do. There were around 11 people on our tour. I don't think I'd like to be on a tour with 25! It would be very crowded looking into the 2...

This is truly a compact showcase of what the soviet occupation was all about. The cheerful guide with tons of interesting anecdotes guarantees an extremely interesting hour. The views from the 23rd floor are also the best in Tallinn. Booking instructions can be found from the Viru hotel website. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide was energetic, friendly and funny for the whole tour, and really knew a lot about this time period and the role of the KGB in Tallinn. Really fascinating.

Small museum but has some interesting bits. I do not think people realise how much impact the Russians had on the country.

Amazing to see what the KGB left behind when they departed in haste in 1991. Excellent guide Jana!

I really enjoyed the KGB Museum tour and highly recommend it. I was surprised how fun it was. I would do it again if I were in Tallinn. The guide was excellent.

The guide is an excellent story teller and has several props to liven up the talk. The group of 25 seemed to enjoy it. It is only a staircase of photos and two small rooms and a lot of story telling. The whole thing takes about 1.20 hours. Strangely interesting. No one seemed bored or restless. Worth the 7 Euros.

Friends in Helsinki had highly recommended this tour and we were not disappointed. Fortunately we booked in advance, as the tour was fully booked (25 people) and people were turned away.
As noted, there is little to see but it is the stories that the tour guide tells that offer fascinating (and sad) insights of Estonia during the Soviet Occupation....
