This is an historic church and friary in an exquisite position on the hill of Tihany peninsula, overlooking lake Balaton, and one the real landmarks in this area. Definitly the nicest place in the Balaton lake region. The abbey itself is ok, the inetriors are tipical baroque architecture, you may be a little tired of it after Budapest and hundreds of similar churches around, but the view is really awsome and the peninsula is a little naural treasure Don't forget your camera and take a coffee at the... We were taken aback at the price of entry to this church and so didn't go inside. The views from the hill overlooking Balaton are breathtaking - remember your camera!
