I was told it was like the Champs Élysées, but except that it was a long road I failed to notice similarities. Yes there are some fancy brand shops, but they are so far apart it's torture to walk down the whole avenue. Vaci is better if you are wanting a bit of comfortable shopping More

I was recommended many times to look at Andrassy Av. Dunno why. Its long street with few museums and a lot of modern high priced shops - and those I really dont want to see or visit. Only few glimpses of historical facade... More

I was not intending to review this 'attraction' as it is basically a very long road with several interesting attractions along it - the Terror Museum, Opera House, up to Heroes' Square. The last reviewer said it was run down dirty with a few designer shops. It seemed to me very clean and well maintained - compared with say London... More

We visited Andrassy Avenue expecting a lot more than was delivered. A UN World Heritage site should be so much more that what is available. There are a few lovely buildings, such as the Opera House, but most of the rest are run down and dirty, needing a lot of attention. Designer shops fill a few of the buildings, but... More

Designer label heaven. Interesting buildings along the way including the New Theatre and the Opera House. Would like to have spent more time there. More

So it's not the Champs Elysees, but this is not Paris. But you do have the once Paris Department store now the Alexandra Bookshop with a coffee shop to die for - check out the ceiling. The Opera House is fabulous (go and take in an opera even if it's not your thing they are amazing and so is the... More

We walked all 2.2km of Andrassy Ut and enjoyed all the historical views and landmarks as we went along. Starting with (albeit adjacent) St Stephens Basilica, the Opera House, Terror House and ending with Hosok Tere (Heroes Square). Well worth walking it all if you have the time! More

In the last 20 years the avenue got back it's original glamour and became a nice walking area with restaurants and cafés. Under the street runs the metro made in 1896. More
