This museum is one of the best I have been to. It is very extensive and well laid out. It was nice and cool and the artifacts were arranged nicely in a well constructed museum. I really enjoyed learning the history of Budapest as previous to my visit I knew very little. It is a must see!

We were quite impressed with the content and layout of this museum. I learned more about the history of Hungary than all of my history classes put together. Lots of great artifacts, informational panels, and maps. Many artifacts are not enclosed so you can see them up close. You will be stalked by museum personnel; they seem to take their...

I think this is the most organized museum in Budapest. The items are divided into specific age periods.
It gives a detailed overview of Budapest's history, apart from giving one the opportunity to have a look inside the Castle....
Worth a good 2 to 3 hours inside....
