City park is vast, you could spend an hour walking around seeing the sights from ducks, bridges, the V castle, or take a rowing boat, there's also a Zoo nearby!

We took the open top (hop on, hop off) bus to City Park and spent the morning in the Thermal Baths - we are so glad we did! Whatever the weather you will luxuriate in the warmth of the pools, enjoy the biggest Jacuzzis anywhere and have a relaxing massage. It costs 4100 forints each and we think it was... More

Maybe it was the over 35 degree summer temperatures, but how I loved this place while staying in the beautiful Budapest visiting my bf family. City Park didn't scream out 'look at me' in the tourist books, nor once you entered the property. For me, it was a wonderful sense of calm and simple beauty. ... uhh.. perhaps I may... More

An ideal destination to spend an afternoon with memorials, museums, architecture, skating , ponds and restaurants. Access is easy (M1 quaint) and views and parkland refreshing. Hungarian Agricultural Museum has English information for the extensive and interesting range of exhibits but the Transport Museum is a must for Families. NB for photos you buy a pass; we didn't know and were... More

This is the city park of Budapest. Can be easily reached by subway, and on its grounds there are several other main attractions like the Vaijdhunyad Castle, Sezncheny Thermal Baths, the Great Circus, the Museum of Agriculture, an icing slope and even an old-fashioned theme park. When you want to do a relaxed park walk, you will spend some nice... More

In the morning we went ice skating. It was amazing. such a big rink. Hired the boots which was no problem. Everywhere very organised. People of all ages were skating. There were school groups of little children which was delightful. They were all pretty good at it as well. After a lunch of a hot chocolate with cream and chocolate... More

Park is amazing! Big, spacy, clean, safe. Here you can see Castle, Spa, Zoo. Castle was first bulit of cartboard and wood, today it represents one of the most impressive buildings in Budapest. In courtyard during the holidays you can buy national food and drinks. Zoo, as they say, is one of the cleanest in Europe. Ticket is 2400HUF but... More

Enter City Park from Hero's Square and you had access to the Winter Ice Skating area and the impressive Vajdahunyad Castle where many different architectural styles await you. A statue of the writer and poet Anonymus is there as well and if you touch his pen which he holds on his right hand it is said that you will become... More

We queued for half an hour to get there, but I quite enjoyed the whole experience of ice skating outdoors with such lovely backgrounds of bridge and castles. The view will look lovely on your holiday pictures, but if you are novice ice skating, be prepared to hold on to your camera tight and try not to fall! This ice... More
