Don't go. Only a few rocks on display. Don't believe the Capitool guide. Beside that, it's to dark. The exit is down the hill, so you have to walk uphill again.

It's just a loop of caverns under the castle. Every now and again you come across a lump of stone on a plinth which tells you it's a keystone from an archway or similar. Some looked liked replicas cast from concrete.
Really not worth the money, don't bother with this attraction.

We had almost unreal expectations from this site, but we were kind of disappointed to find out that the site is highly overrated.
Of course, the atmosphere in the labyrinth is nice (in a crepy kind of way), but there are no real relics there, but rather only modern (or post-modern) exhibits, which we found hilarious.
Make sure to bring...

Dear TheShis,
We are happy that you have visited the Labyrinth. Maybe it was a little bit earlier, because a new exhibition was opened in the Labyrinth: the visitors can see gothic and renaissance stone monuments and Turkish tombstones – all reall :) since end of November 2011.
Also will open a panoptikum and the Dracula’s Prison soon.

I was really excited to do this but it turned out to be a bit of a waste of time! it was pretty hard to find to begun with, I ended up just asking a shop keeper who directed me.
It didn't cost that much to get in 2000 HUF or 1500 for students, which I thought was reasonable.

I don't know if they were in the middle of changing exhibits, or we just missed the point, but there was nothing to see or do.
There was a maze of dimly lit caves, and some bits of antique masonry on plinths, then the exit. We didn't see another soul, which made it a bit creepy.
6000 forints seemed abit...

One of the most interesting places in the whole city! Lovely and fun! There is a wine fountain, too!

Wow. To think about the reason it was built. Amazing.

This is potentially an interesting excursion, exploring the caves under the Castle hill. It is an atmospheric cave complex, but I felt there could have been more in the way of explanation. The description at the entrance was interesting enough, and the mood music and lighting inside was atmospheric. However, there could have been more explanations inside to maintain interest.

We hadn't heard anything about this place but we saw the signs which indicated this was a serious museum - which it isn't. The labyrinth itself, beneath the castle district has a lot of potential. The spaces are intriguing. But there is no effort to tell a serious story of how the spaces came to be there or how they...

We had read about the labyrinth in our LP guide but stumbled across the entrance by acident. Once down there i'm not sure what I was expecting but this was not it. Looked like someone had used paper and glue to stick it all together. Paintings on the wall which were copies of stoneage paintings and some fake vines.
