Treblinka is now nothing but a memorial park surrounded by dense forest. It does not have the same 'museum' like feel as Auschwitz, but this makes it even more soul shattering. 60 years ago you would not have walked out of that place alive. As stated by the previous reviewers, it is hard to get to Treblinka, and there is nothing left to see other than a memorial to the 800,000+ people killed here. I agree with some of what they other reviewer has said. Treblinka is second only to Auschwitz-Birkenau in the number of people that were killed. That is why we put this camp on our list to visit. We visited Treblinka in March of 2007, and it was absolutely worth visiting. Treblinka is different from most other Nazi concentration camps, because it was exclusively a "death camp."
