Zoo is not large, but with sufficient space for animals which is quite a lot. Right next door is a small cafe offering grilled sausages, chips and snacks and drinks. Add to this walk through the beautiful grounds surrounding the forest garden and have a great day spent outdoors. More

Winter isn't the best time to visit. I've always found the zoo to be more impressive when the weather is much wamer, at which time the outdoor enclosures are at their best. I would, however, say that the animal care always seems of a high standard. More

This time of year is not the best time of year to visit the zoo. Although the location is potentially very nice, in the woods to the west of the city, in December it all looked a bit sad and gloomy.
