Wawel is a must-see when in Krakow. Beware that all tickets are sold separately. I recommend you to go in the morning as lines may be long and they only sell a limited number of tickets per day. One of the highlights of Krakow, the castle and cathedral are well worth a visit. The view from the hill, overlooking the Vistula, is spectacular. I'd also recommend savoring the experience with a coffee and snack from the outdoor restaurant.

This is a lovely day out in easy walking distance from centre of krakow. We selected the 5 tour package and was about £10 each. Beautiful grounds and good facilities, restaurants and reasonably priced for this type of attraction.

So much to see and do in one place. From the treasury and Royal Armoury to the State rooms. So much history but leave at least 4 hours to see it all. Don't forget to leave the dragons den to the end of your stay!!

We left visiting the castle until our last day and guess what; all the staterooms and apartments are closed on a Monday, good excuse to visit Krakow again!!!

One of the main sights of Krakow. You simply can't say you've seen the city until you have seen the castle. Opening hours may be weird (until 3pm Sunday), but one day a week is free so check carefully before coming.

I have visited this amazing castle over several visits- very interesting but huge. The view from the castle Is also stunning. Go and see some if it at least, if pushed for time. A must!
