It actually is just a statue, nothing special, no unspeakably beautiful lines or pose, no unique outlook. However, it is a symbol of a great city and buildings nearby are wonderful. They are different from buildings in other polish cities. What is quite curious is that each cog of Neptune trident has another trident on its end.

It's nice... People take pictures with Neptun, walk around, have a coffee in a nearby cafe... On a summer sunny day you can even sit on the ground for a moment or two. Whatever you say, it's a symbol of Gdansk, like the Eros in Piccadilly Circus is one of the symbols of London... :]
