Beautiful slender vaulting...the outside, especially from the rear, is also very fine. Pilgram is supposed to have had a hand in it's construction.
While the church is of historical interest, we particularly enjoyed our visit to the catacombs. We found the inclusion of contemporary art among the remains and the specially commissioned requiem a fitting and moving means to honor the dead whose bones reside here.
Jacob´s church, it is short, stone Gothic style for quiet contemplation in the centre of busy town. Slender columns, stone arcade and time which it has stopped here. For a moment you can seat and to search lost ideas. Or you can step down to ossuary and to visit your ancestor. Petra Bačovská

Next to this church is cellar which is "decorated" with skulls and bones. It is done with taste, beautiful violin music is played on the background from the speakers. Very interesting place, don't miss this one!!
